Ever wondered how people borrow money, or manage their debts?

The credit file uses case studies to help introduce saving and borrowing, interest, debt, different types of money lender, some of the expenses that moving away from home entails and what you might like to spend your money on in the future.

There are four topics to work though in this module. These will help you to:

  • understand the costs associated with borrowing money
  • appreciate the problems with debt, both on a personal and national level
  • learn about the different types of money lender and be able to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each
  • understand the importance of budgeting
  • make decisions about real-life situations
  • develop your communication skills

It contains short video clips and interactive activities.
