To theme or not to theme?

Sometimes a coffee shop or café has a special theme or specialisation – such as organic food, healthy eating, being a place to relax and read the papers while you drink your coffee etc.

Other coffee shops or cafés make the decorations and seating a unique feature – for example basing themselves on a New York Diner or a film set, or decorating the place with music memorabilia.

Do you think it’s a good or bad idea to theme your coffee shop?

Talk about all these points then decide as group which name and theme to go for (if any). Once you’ve made up your mind stick to it so you all know what you’re working towards. If you don’t have a specific theme you could think about the style of your coffee shop.
